Apple Supplier Foxconn Planning to double iPhone Manufacturing in India This Year

A media report quoted sources as saying that Manufacturing is being done in Foxconn in a factory near Bengaluru in Karnataka. This trial is being done for the first phase of the plan to increase the manufacturing of iPhone in the country. In this trial, it is being investigated whether this factory can manufacture a large number of iPhone with a large number of iPhone’s manufacturing with the tight parameters of Apple. In this year’s budget, Foxconn can benefit from the announcement of tax exemption on the import of smartphone parts.

Recently, a report said that Apple plans to start manufacturing airpods, macbook and iPad in the country. Apple plans to manufacture airpods for exports at Foxconn’s Hyderabad plant. The company plans to shift some part of its manufacturing in China. Manufacturing of the company’s wireless earphones in the country will be an important step in this. About two years ago, Foxcony approved an investment of about 400 million dollars for manufacturing airpods in Hyderabad.

The Government of Karnataka has recently given an incentive of about Rs 6,970 crore to Foxconn. This incentive has been given under the State Government’s Special Scheme for the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. Foxconn also has manufacturing plants in China. Apple Affordable iPhone 16E launched in February has started assembling in India. It will replace the iPhone SE introduced about three years ago. Along with the sale of iPhone 16E being assembled in the country, some countries will also be exported to some countries. The company’s iPhone 16 series is also assembling in the country. Apple started manufacturing iPhone’s Pro models for the first time in the country with the iPhone 16 series.
